This popular german artist is almost unknown to the rest of the world. Yet he crafted a wonderful silent comic which also inspired "when I am King". It's called "Wenn der Pinguin zweimal klopft". (When the penguin knocks twice).

Also look out for: Pete Milligan, Chris Ware, Alan Moore, Adrian Tomine, David Mazzuchelli and everything you might like in your nearest comic shop.
