About the making of 'When I am King'
What software do you use?
Mainly Adobe Illustrator. But also Photoshop, ImageReady, GoLive, Cinema 4D. And there will be more I guess.

Do you have any info to share about how to set up one's own web comic? How do you write/ create pages? how do you get them hosted?
You can learn html at webmonkey.com. It's easy. And you'll find some free hosting space at tripod, but there are also more and maybe better possibilities to get your website hosted.

About 'When I am King'
I'd love to know if any of the characters have names, or at least how you refer to them.
I'm sure they have names but they've got lost in time... I think of them as the 'king', the 'girafecamel', the 'Tuersteher' (Guards/Doormen), the 'ladies', the 'kids', the 'flowers' and the 'bees'.
How come the animated sections did n't kick in til later chapters?
Maybe because i discovered the possibilities of the web as i went along. Maybe i intended to have a bigger 'surprise'-effect this way...

Hello, I really like your digital comic, especially the camel. That's why I've studied carefully what this creature does and thinks (he thinks most about hearts) and I noticed that there is some stange things happening between him and the cactus. When the camel eats from the cactus in chapter 4 part 46, the disappeared part of the cactus, reappears the same time the camel swallows it. The camel has a strange ancient power which gave him this ability or the cactus has a strange sense of humour or the cactus is actually a disguised lizard who has not completely mastered being a cactus or is it just a minor detail which is not even worth to mention, considering all the strange things happening in the very mistique ancient dessert by night?
Eventhough the camel ate a kid, I like him a lot.
